Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN)

The Immersive Learning Research Network (iLRN) is an international community focused on enhancing education through immersive technologies like VR, AR, MR, and XR. It connects educators, researchers, and industry experts to share resources, research, and best practices. iLRN hosts events such as conferences and workshops, promoting innovation and collaboration in immersive learning. Its goal is to improve educational outcomes and equip learners for a technology-driven future, fostering professional development and showcasing cutting-edge projects.

Problem: iLRN faces a significant challenge in amplifying awareness and boosting attendance for its upcoming conference.

Insight: Despite the organization's commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the immersive learning community, it needs help to effectively engage its target audience and turn interest into conference participation. This challenge is compounded by the need to navigate an increasingly crowded digital space, where potential attendees are bombarded with information and opportunities from other conferences and opportunities.

Task: Revamp the iLRN identity with a Brand Guide, reorganize the social media content, analyze and improve engagement, create immersive activations leading up to the conference, and strengthen brand affinity. Additionally, create a comprehensive Campaign Book to provide key evaluation methods, strategies, and tactics for the company to apply and see results moving forward - with results and successes from this year’s internship included.

Result: Restructuring of branding, content, and platforms used, increase in attendee registration, and submission of case studies to be presented at the conference. Interactions with the iLRN network and community increased, increased participation with iLRN’s audience, and an increase in followers and participants in social media channels (results documented in the campaign book).
