HanGru Korean Language Studio

HanGru Korean Language Studio is a language institute based in Seoul, South Korea. The school focuses on teaching Korean to foreigners in the local Seoul area, as well as through online-based options. As of 2020, the company began to implement more online education options that allowed the company to be more globally focused.

Problem: HanGru Korean Language Studio needed to market its presence online, and reach a wider range of audience. They had little to no engagement online and wanted to provide more educational options to foreigners seeking to learn Korean.

Insight: The company needed to differentiate its presence amongst other language institutes with a larger presence. The small company needed help on how to create content, maintain content, and continue to draw engagement.

Task: Create a brand kit, brand guide, and plan out strategy steps in how to create meaningful engagement online. In a year’s timeframe, create and prepare a social presence on Instagram and on a new website. Additionally, prepare an offboarding process to maintain brand consistency between employees.

Result: Increased engagement on Instagram, increased followings by 2x, implemented a brand design that is consistent with content and mission, and created more revenue for the company through ideation of additional services and classes.
